Yabasic 3 is currently being developed. Among other neat features, Yabasic 3 will have:

• modules (SDL, Curses, etc.)
• structures and user-defined types
• a fast register-based virtual machine
• a consistent, system-independent core.

You can find the most recent bleeding-edge development version by looking through the list of blog posts (see the sidebar on the right). If you can, please take the time to download, compile, and test these early versions—and don’t forget to report any bugs that you find!

Yabasic is free software distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License. It was originally created and maintained by Marc-Oliver Ihm, and is now being developed and documented by a small team. If you have feedback or questions, we’d love to hear from you.
